Alpine decor
At Loulou Val d’Isère, the cosy decor is designed by Corinne Sachot. You will love the combination of soft, warm materials into which to relax after an active day out. A Scottish tapestry sits alongside wall lamps which emulate the candlelight in elegant refuges of yesteryear. On the ceiling there is a lush display of flowers and foliage, designed by florist Thierry Boutemy who supervised the floral arrangements in Sophia Coppola’s 2006 film Marie Antoinette.
Small, blond wood round tables are surrounded by comfortable red velvet chairs. It is the ideal place to relax at any time of day when coming in from the slopes.
A menu with a sense of ‘la dolce vita’
At this Italian restaurant in Val d’Isère, Chef Benoît Dargere has created a sun-drenched, Mediterranean-style menu with Alpine touches. In the kitchen, the dishes, and particularly the black truffle pizza, are inspired by the flavours of Lombardy and Piedmont.
Those with a sweet tooth will adore the impressive and delicious dessert buffet. Home-made pain d’epice, lemon meringue tart, or chocolate cake : you’ll be spoilt for choice!
On the cocktail menu, the cold concoctions echo the winter temperatures of the resort and are a delight at any time of day. As well as the traditional vin chaud and Aperol Spritz, you can try the restaurant’s own ‘Loulou Winter’, a clever mix of Vodka Mamonte blood, Veuve Clicquot Rich rosé, and pine and blood orange liqueurs. You may also choose from Loulou's wide selection of wines from Savoie, Alsace and Bordeaux available by the glass or by the bottle.
An XXL panoramic terrace
At Loulou, our restaurant in Val d’Isère, you will love the dishes and adore what you’ll find outside at Airelles Val d’Isère: a huge 800m2 terrace on the famous Bellevarde slope. Squashy sofas covered in American-Indian fabrics help to lend a family atmosphere. On the ground, kilims, rugs usually found in South Armerican yurts, add a touch of elegance. Enjoy the mountains, sipping a hot chocolate or a tasty cocktail, while snacking on cold meats from the region.
