Airelles

Today and yesterday, here and elsewhere

In the midst of one of the most magnificent ski areas in the French Alps, Airelles Val d’Isère promises a stay combining authenticity and exclusiveness.

A winter residence at the foot of the slopes

At the heart of Savoy, on the edge of the National Park of La Vanoise, Airelles Val d’Isère melts elegantly into the scenery thanks to architecture typical of Savoy. Facing the snow front, not far from the ski-lifts, this majestic mountain chalet built of timber and stone stands at the foot of the slopes. Leaving Airelles Val d’Isère and returning on skis or a snowboard has never been easier or more enjoyable! The luxurious Bernard Orcel Ski-Room and its bespoke services (heated shoes, daily maintenance of equipment, hot drinks and sugary treats etc.) will make your days in the snow
simply exceptional. Shopping addicts will be enchanted to discover the new Vanille & Lilas boutique, where a thousand-and-one designer gems await them for a chic and trendy winter!

Authentic decor

With its refined atmosphere and meticulously designed decor, Airelles Val d’Isère plunges its guests into a world oblivious to passing time. Thanks to the welcome of porters and car valets dressed in costumes of “Chasseurs Alpins”, total immersion engulfs you right from the start. Christophe Tollemer, the hotel’s architect-decorator, has unfurled all his talent, accompanied by art historian Emmanuelle Vidal-Delagneau. Hundreds of antiques, engravings, furniture and woodwork unearthed in dealers’ shops adorn this splendid Alpine residence. The same goes for the Guerlain Spa which seems to have been hollowed out of the rock. This setting offering remarkable architecture is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful mountain spas, with stone arches, a vaulted ceiling with wide timber beams, and a sumptuous 20-meter swimming pool.

Luxurious Rooms and Suites

The hotel’s 41 Rooms and Suites, most enjoying views of the Alpine peaks, are particularly enticing for their noble materials and prestigious furnishings. As witnessed by solid wood doors, Louis XIII armchairs, red floor tiles and oakwood parquet floors. Five private apartments with one to four bedrooms, designed in loft style, complete the accommodation on the 5th and top floor. Sleeping up to eight guests, the Montmayeur Apartment is ideal for quality time with family or friends. The sumptuous backto- back fireplace and panoramic terrace of this penthouse of 200 sq.m will fulfil the most luxurious desires. At Airelles Val d’Isère, everything has been designed down to the very last detail to offer a stay meeting your expectations, and beyond.

Gastronomic proposals, rich and refined

This quest for excellence is also found in dishes at the legendary restaurant La Grande Ourse. Potato “rösti” with black truffles, “pot-au-feu” with winter vegetables, shoulder of suckling lamb cooked for 7 hours…,the talented Chef Benoît Dargère proposes generous, comforting dishes in decidedly mountain spirit. This winter, be sure to discover the new glamorous-chic restaurant Matsuhisa with pan- Asian fusion cuisine concocted by the famous Japanese Chef Nobu. Your palate will travel to distant lands with tacos, sashimi with salmon, fillet of Wagyu beef, or Royal Crab in tempura with Amazu Ponzu sauce. A one-way ticket to the Far East surrounded by the peaks of Savoy! This season, a new Steakhouse restaurant, Le Relais Val d’Isère with a terrace overlooking the slopes of the valley of Le Manchet also completes gastronomic proposals made by Airelles Val d’Isère, with succulent meat specialties on the menu. Ideal for restoring your strength between two runs down the slopes!  In the evenings, fans of partying will benefit from the velvety atmosphere of Le Piaf, a restaurant already iconic in Paris, Courchevel and Mégève, opening its doors this winter in Val d’Isère.
