“As a sommelier, I find it really enjoyable to propose prestigious wines for tasting ,” says Nicolas Jankovic, Head Sommelier at Les Airelles Courchevel. “Letting you into a secret, one of my favourites is Le Cru du Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, a very complex wine conveying elegance, tenderness and harmony. It can be paired with the noblest dishes, such as top-quality beef.”
La Cave des Grands Crus also contains great labels from Bordeaux, highly-prized by fans of French wines, such as Petrus 2012, Château Haut-Brion 2009 and Château Mouton Rothschild 2009.
“Each season brings unexpected encounters, exchanges and dialogues, always different and enriching,” says Nicolas Jankovic, who already demonstrated his talent this summer at La Bastide in Gordes. “In winter, the atmosphere is much cosier, and serving outstanding wines enables us to set our guests’ eyes shining like stars. For me, that’s the ultimate goal.”
