Winter at Le Grand Contrôle
The luxuriant gardens of the Château de Versailles make way in winter for nature draped in iridescent reflections. The chance to discover Le Grand Contrôle from new perspectives.
A front row seat at the Royal Opera
A stay at Le Grand Contrôle comes with a wealth of experiences including that of spending an evening in one of Versailles’ hidden treasures: the Royal Opera. Though before attending a performance in its majestic auditorium, comfortably seated in your private box, you will be invited to discover all its secrets on a guided tour, just for you. When it all comes to an end, you will be escorted by your butler, a lantern in his hand, through the gardens of the Château de Versailles to your Suite in Le Grand Contrôle.
A shopping spree worthy of royalty
The 18th century invented fashion and one of the era’s most eminent “influencers” was none other than Queen Marie- Antoinette. Her official dressmaker, Rose Bertin, nicknamed the “Minister of Fashion”, indulged all her slightest desires for her wardrobe. Three centuries later, Le Grand Contrôle invites you to experience a day spent shopping in “Grand Siècle” style. In the exclusive atmosphere of your Suite, you will discover magnificent items of clothing and fine jewellery, carefully selected by your Personal Stylist.
(Sensational) flight over Paris
Take to the skies on board a light plane to discover the sumptuous scenery of the surrounding area on a flight of about 20 minutes. An opportunity to contemplate at sunrise or sunset remarkable sites such as the Grand Canal of the Château de Versailles, but also the Avenue des Champs-Élysées or the Château de Chantilly. You will even be offered the chance to take control of the plane in order to benefit fully from a pilot’s sensations.
Road trip in a collector's car
Enjoy a truly escapist getaway at the gateway to Paris, setting off to explore picturesque natural landscapes in the valley of Chevreuse at the wheel of the legendary Jaguar MK2. On the programme: a tour of the Château de la Madeleine, discovery of the medieval village of Montfort l’Amaury, followed by a gastronomic dinner at the star-rated Table du Chef Alain Ducasse on your return to Le Grand Contrôle.

Joyful, Gourmet Festivities!
At Le Grand Contrôle, year-end festivities are all about sharing, warmth and tasty treats. For Christmas, discover the “1724 Yule Log” concocted by Pastry Chef Aymeric Pinard in collaboration with Stéphane Duchiron, Executive Chef at the Restaurant Alain Ducasse. A signature dessert offering sophisticated design that elegantly enhances all the strength and delicacy of vanilla. Conquered by its sweet but subtle aroma, Louis XIV gave the order for plants to be cultivated in 1602 on the island of Reunion. Then on December 31st, enjoy a memorable New Year’s Eve unfurling all the sumptuousness of the era. On the programme: a festive dinner with gastronomic treats and recipes tweaked to meet today’s taste, followed by an evening in costume dress in the salons of Le Grand Contrôle.
