Escape to the countryside at the Château de Versailles
A stay at Le Grand Contrôle comes with exclusive privileges, including access to Château de Versailles itself. But that’s not all… our concierges are ready to organise the most extraordinary experiences for you – from horse riding in the palace gardens to a royal picnic, there are plenty of activities to suit every member of the family.
Historic escapade
Take a helicopter ride to discover the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, which inspired construction of the Château de Versailles itself. You’ll be dropped off in its main courtyard and then invited to enjoy a gastronomic meal in one of the private salons before exploring the palace with a guided tour. You can then leisurely enjoy the fabulous gardens at your own pace, even taking an electric golf cart if you wish.
Royal lunch on the lawn
There’s no better way to enjoy a sunny day at Versailles than with a refined picnic on the expansive lawns alongside the Grand Canal. On the menu: freshly cooked seasonal vegetables and fruits prepared by Le Grand Contrôle’s chef, accompanied by a bottle of Rosé Roseblood or Moukipic Rosé (a non-alcoholic sparkling muscat) from Château d’Estoublon. Your own butler will be on hand to ensure everything is exquisitely prepared for you.
Road trip in a collector's car
Embark on a journey to discover Giverny or La Vallée de Chevreuse aboard a legendary Jaguar MK2, a Porsche 326 convertible, or an MGA 1600. Beyond the beauty of the landscapes, you will be amazed by the rich historical heritage that unfolds before your eyes. The Château de la Madeleine, the village of Montfort l’Amaury, Claude Monet’s House, and even the Château Neuf de Saint-Germain-Laye are some of the must-see stops. Upon your return, you will be welcomed for a Michelin-starred dinner by Alain Ducasse.
Sensational flight
Treat yourself to an aerial adventure aboard a light aircraft departing from Saint-Cyr airfield and discover the Château de Versailles, as well as Paris and its surroundings, like you’ve never seen them before. During this short flight (of around 20 minutes), you can even take the controls for a few seconds! Unique memories guaranteed.
Horse riding in the park
Relive the equestrian passion of the French royal court through a two-hour horseback ride in the park of Versailles. Accompanied by a guide, you will traverse the hunting trails to reach the Queen’s Hamlet and enjoy a spectacular view of the Palace and its Grand Canal. You will then proceed to the Domaine de Trianon, where an exclusive guided tour awaits you.
