Le TIGrr at Gordes
Set on the edge of a village with a panoramic view over the Luberon valley, Le TiGrr is La Bastide’s exotic restaurant. With Thai, Japanese and Vietnamese influences, it offers a wide variety of inventive and tasty Asian dishes.
Le TiGrr, an ideal location in Gordes village
Set high on a hillside in the superb traditional village of Gordes, LE TiGrr’s terrace has a stunning view over the Luberon valley. Surrounded by the Airelles Gordes gardens, the restaurant’s purely Asian menu was designed by Jérôme Foucaud, and the décor by interior designer Astrid Maillet-Contoz.
Asian influences mix perfectly with the Provencal countryside heritage of the palace, inside as well as on the generous terrace.
Set over two floors of the hotel, the restaurant, tables and the private dining room combine local know-how with the rock-inspired, leather-clad style of Le TiGrr, muted and comfortable. Wood panelling, black and gold banquettes and soft lighting are perfect for intimate meetings and joyful evenings. Nestled between typically Provencal dry-stone walls, Le TiGrr’s terrace is the ideal place to watch the sunset with a cocktail at the end of the day.
Refined Asian cuisine in the heart of Provence
At the bar, locals and holidaymakers meet to drink a toast with exceptional champagne, taste the best Luberon and Ventoux wines or try one of the house cocktails such as Le TiGrr, made from Grey Goose vodka, fresh basil and ginger, sugar syrup, lime and soda.
The menu takes guests on an exquisite journey through the most interesting tastes of Asia: Vietnamese, Thai and Japanese.
For your starter, share signature sushi, sashimi, maki, steamed ravioli, and hot or cold spring rolls, before moving on to a fish or meat dish, such as chicken green curry, or sea bream served in a banana leaf. A special mention must go to the bouillabaisse, reinvented with Thai sauce. To finish, share a platter of fresh fruit with chocolate ‘spring rolls’, or you might prefer to try an exceptional sake such as Larmes du Levant which is made in France.
A place to make the most of warm, summer evenings
As night falls over the Alpilles, the lights at Le TiGrr are dimmed and the atmosphere ramps up. While you may have started your evening sipping a cocktail by the brand-new boules court, chances are you’ll finish it on the dance floor as the DJ plays the latest summer sounds and you enjoy one last drink.
It’s the ideal place for a voyage of the senses, and to enjoy the exceptional view of the countryside from your table at La Bastide.
