Traditional french Afternoon Tea
The royal breakfast and dinner were sumptuous rituals at the Château of Versailles. However, Marie Antoinette seemed to have preferred the sweet, simple pleasures of the afternoon “goûter”, a moment still savored across generations.
A moment dedicated to indulgence
At the La Table des Jardiniers, afternoon tea is an exquisite experience to be shared and savored. The history of Versailles unfolds in an informal yet elegantly refined setting.
On sunny days, the terrace offers views over the Cent Marches and Orangery as guests sample a delicious selection of traditional French treats.
The great afternoon tea classics
Crafted by pastry chef Aymeric Pinard, Le Goûter des Jardiniers will delight young and old alike. The menu features French teatime classics including freshly picked fruit, madeleines straight from the oven, caramel custard and milk ice cream with raspberries and marigolds.
Buttery biscuits are just waiting to be dipped in warm milk, just as French families have for generations.
