Designed by Chef Nobuyuki ‘Nobu’ Matsuhisa, the Matsuhisa Saint-Tropez menu pays homage to the cuisines of Japan and Peru in unique dishes that capture the imagination. From sashimi and sushi to tempura, Matsuhisa Saint-Tropez invites you on a culinary journey to remember.
The Chef’s unmissable specialities include salmon sashimi tacos, Wagyu beef fillet with three sauces, and royal crab tempura with Amazu Ponzu sauce. Thanks to the robata, the famous Japanese wood-fired grill, the meat, fish and vegetables are infused with an incomparable smoky flavour.
For dessert, you can opt for Nobu-style cheesecake, iced mochi, or even cappuccino with Suntory whisky.
A restaurant with a panoramic view
Set on Château de La Messardière’s terrace, Matsuhisa Saint-Tropez has a stunning view of Pampelonne Bay. Comfortably settled on one of the sand-coloured banquettes, the place will delight your senses, from your eyes to your tastebuds.
Live DJ sets take place every summer evening. The Pool Bar offers a wide selection of sakes and Japanese snacks. It’s the ideal place to sip a drink to whet your appetite, enjoying the sun and the view of the bay.
An iconic Chef
Nobuyuki ‘Nobu’ Matsuhisa began his career in Japan where he grew up, before moving to Peru at the age of 24. This trip to South America influenced his entire career, as it was here that he learned to make Japanese dishes with local produce.
After ten years of travelling around America, the charismatic chef finally settled in Los Angeles where he opened his first restaurant, Matsuhisa. He very quickly became known for the Peruvian influence in his dishes, and for his creativity with fish. Matsuhisa became the hang out for Hollywood celebrities. Since then, Chef Nobu has opened almost sixty restaurants around the world including one in the heart of an Airelles hotel: Matsuhisa Saint-Tropez.
